Organising Chairman Ar. Bong Joon Hin presenting the BTS 2017 prospectus to Mr. Loh Chin Long the Managing Director of Living Court at Tabuan Jaya showroom
KUCHING - Response to the Building Trade Show 2017 from the industry has been encouraging, with more than 50 percent of the exhibition booths already taken up by a diverse range of companies and suppliers of products and services.
Among the companies who have confirmed participation are Amcan Sdn Bhd, Kimgress Marketing Sdn Bhd, Asteel Sdn Bhd, IJM Land Sdn Bhd, Imetal Sdn Bhd and United G.I. Products Sdn Bhd. And the Main Sponsor are Weida (M) Bhd and DML Products (Borneo) Sdn Bhd.
In view of this and the extensive preparations underway, the BTS 2017, which will be held in March next year, will be grander than the previous BTS, and expectations are high for a large turnout, said the organising chairman, Bong Joon Hin, from the Sarawak Chapter of Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia (PAMSC)
BTS 2017 is the 9th Building Trade Show organised by PAMSC and is held on a biennial basis. Since its inception in 2003, the Building Trade Shows have generated great interest amongst local and international suppliers and manufacturers as well as the local public.
The building construction industry, which is as old as human civilization itself, is a wide industry that encompasses many professionals, as well as builders and product suppliers. New technology and ways of working are helping to break down barriers between the different players in the construction process.
“ BTS is widely acknowledged as an iconic Ultimate Trade Show for the building industry in Sarawak and in the light of its growing popularity, it will soon stamp its mark in the region, said Bong.
“It provides a crucial platform for manufacturers and suppliers to develop and strengthen their major brands and showcase their latest technology and innovative products.
The BTS also serves as an excellent opportunity for them to demonstrate their applications to the public and for the building industry professionals as well as the general public to be with acquainted with some of the latest innovations, technology, products and designs,” he added.
Bong also reminded exhibitors to take heed of some important pointers that would benefit them. These include setting key sales goals before the BTS to give their team an objective, interacting with all visitors who could be potential customers, and keeping notes of their interactions so that they could follow up after the event.
In addition to the massive and interesting display of products put up by the exhibitors, special promotions and discounts would be offered at the Show, making a visit for anyone a worthwhile experience, said Bong, adding that he was confident that next year’s Show would be bigger, better and grander than the ones in the previous years.
The exhibition booths, totalling 185, are available for booking and priced from RM4,500.00 onward. An early bird discount of 10% is offered for booking made before 31 Aug 2016
